Mr. Mendoza,

Thank you for your interest in the Amazon.com Associates Program.

We have completed our review of your application to become an Amazon.com Associate, which included a visit to the Web pages where you planned to feature items for sale at Amazon.com. In the online copy of the operating agreement, linked from the application form, you may not have noticed this provision:

Sites that Do Not Qualify for the Amazon.com Associates Program include:

  • Sites that promote sexually explicit material
  • Sites that promote violence
  • Sites that promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, national origin, physical disability, sexual orientation or age
  • Sites that promote illegal activities
  • Sites that violate intellectual property rights

We noticed that your site contains some graphic sexual images and/or sexually graphic banner advertisements and we are therefore unable to approve your application. Accordingly, we have closed the account under which you had been temporarily approved and that approval has now ended.

We appreciate your interest in the Associates Program and wish you the best.

Best regards,

Traci A.

dear amazon,

i'm kind of amazed that you've decided not to profit from selling your books on my site, www.mayhem.net. what is it that you find so offensive? there are several other serial killer sites that are selling your books through the associate program.

i mean, if you have problems with the subject matter of my site, you should also have problems selling books on serial killers. i'm just looking for a place to promote my book, "Killers on the Loose" and profit from the sale by sending my web surfers to your site. otherwise, i would just be giving it to you for free.

i strongly disagree with you in that it would not be a mutually beneficial business opportunity. with 20,000 pages downloaded a day i am sure i could sell selected titles in a very focused way.

take care,

antonio mendoza
